Women’s Self-Reliance Program on Soap Making Training
**Women’s Self-Reliance Program on Soap Making Training**
The Alliance Club of Sister successfully organized a **Women’s Self-Reliance Program** focusing on **Soap Making Training** from **27 June 2026 to 30 June 2026** at **Fulbar, Pokhara-11**. The three-day training program was conducted with the objective of empowering women by providing them with practical skills and knowledge that can help them become financially independent and improve their livelihoods.
A total of **35 women participants** from the local community actively participated in the training. The program aimed to enhance women’s entrepreneurship skills and encourage them to start small-scale businesses from their homes. Soap making was selected as the training topic because it requires relatively low investment, has a growing market demand, and provides an excellent opportunity for income generation.
During the training, participants learned about different types of soaps, the raw materials required, safety precautions, measuring techniques, mixing procedures, molding, drying, packaging, and marketing strategies. The trainers provided both theoretical knowledge and practical demonstrations to ensure that the participants gained hands-on experience in soap production.
The participants showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged in all training sessions. Many women expressed their interest in starting their own soap-making businesses or forming cooperative groups to produce and market handmade soaps locally. The training also created a platform for women to share experiences, build confidence, and strengthen social networks within the community.
The Alliance Club of Sister believes that economic empowerment is one of the most effective ways to improve the social and financial status of women. By providing skill-based training programs, the organization aims to create opportunities for women to generate income and contribute to their families and communities.
The successful completion of the Women’s Self-Reliance Program demonstrates the importance of vocational training in promoting entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods among women. The Alliance Club of Sister remains committed to organizing similar programs in the future to support women’s empowerment, self-employment, and community development.
The organization would like to thank all the participants, trainers, local supporters, and community members whose cooperation and participation made the program a great success.
